It is the exception to the rule to go to a country where you CANNOT speak English.
Especially in tourist locations.
Sure. But it can't be the expectation that everyone in every nation speaks only in a foreign language to cater to tourists. We certainly do not do so in the US, despite the fact that languages like Spanish, French, Mandarin/Cantonese, Hindi, etc. are spoken by huge numbers of tourists.
I expect the people who deal with customers in restaurants and other businesses in the US to be able to speak to me in clear English. I don't think it's unreasonable for folks in Hungary to expect people who deal with customers there to speak Hungarian.

One place I really struggled recently was Italy, they don’t have Uber there and in some cases the only way to reserve a taxi is to call, and it was very difficult to talk to anyone in English to try to reserve a taxi.
