“John Kennedy won the 1960 presidency by an overwhelming majority.”
This writer must have not studied the Presidental Election of 1960. And of course that does count the cheating in Texas and Illinois.
Kennedy: 34,220,984 votes, 49.72% of the total, 303EV
Nixon: 34,108,157 votes, 49.55% of the total, 219EV
But then in the next sentence, the writer says that Lyndon Johnson won the 1960 presidency. I’m so confused.
That might have been a typo, but there’s plenty of other unclear writing in the piece. How long is a jubilee, exactly?
