Dont laugh. There is a particular time of the month that women shouldnt get in the water on the sea shore.
There is also a reason that it is illegal in certain states to hunt deer using those types of things as bait.
Go ahead..laugh.

Surprised at no mention of global warming. The increase in attacks being attributed to the increase in the number of sharks due to protections in place for the sharks. The 1916 attacks in the NJ area interesting. Two fatalities in the ocean, two fatalities in Matewan Creek (and another serious injury in the creek). Blamed on a young great white that was later killed, but hard to believe the Matewan Creek attacks weren't a bull shark since the attacks were about 7 miles up the creek.

So far, very few in the great lakes.

Shark attacks up across the U.S.
—
Beware this is the time land-sharks swarm. Air-sharks favor the Midwest and are plentiful just before any stormy weather.
There is considerable danger scientists and sharkologists say that this could be one of the most dangerous years for shark predation; they advise people wear masks to fool the sharks and their notoriously bad eyesight.
They also advise frequent showers and avoid scented soaps, perfumes and so forth as sharks hunt by smell.
