I teach English as a Second Language. This is nonsense, and is another attempt to corrupt language to serve political purposes. It goes without saying that I won’t be introducing my students to this. English is hard enough to learn without adding crap from lunatics. I did mention the whole gender identity thing in passing once and how it affects language, and my students, who are all from more traditional cultures, thought it was madness.
One problem with the choosing pronouns thing is that it always involves third person pronouns. If I am addressing a person directly, I would say “you”. The third person is used only in referring to that person. He/She/It/They/Ze/Zim/Zhe might not even be present, and yet I would be expected to use those chosen pronouns. And then what about verbs? If a person wants to be referred to as “they”, is it “They is a lunatic” or “They are a lunatic?
I highly suspect that what we have here are domestic enemies of the USA trying to throw the country into turmoil, anarchy, all for the benefit of China.
