I always grab my carts from the cart corral outside. I take the ones that have been sitting in the sun the longest.
UV disinfects wonderfully.
Never thought of that. Great idea, and probably helps the tasked with rounding up the carts.

We got a toy for our grandchild at a garage sale, and after cleaning it I put it in the Sun for that same reason. I never thought to apply that logic to shopping carts!!! Thank you!
