I spose the “virtuous” ones are those who use kale instead of candy to lure in the children.
The virtuous ones are the ones who only look at the pictures on the dark web and don’t actually touch a kid.
The rest of them just think those “virtuous” ones are cowards. A really virtuous MAP would take a vow of celibacy and cut themselves off of contact with all children in any environment.
A book I have on Christian illustrations tells the story of one of these, and how nobody knew why he was a celibate and separated saint until just before he died. He confessed to a pastor that his greatest blessing was that he had never touched a child in any inappropriate way. He considered it a great blessing that God had given him the strength to say “no” to his inner demons.
