The US & NATO showed strength by doubling the number of countries right up to Russia’s doorstep over 20 years. And placing missiles in border countries to Russia. Putin clearly warned the West that the west aggression against Russia would not end well. Looks like he was right. Ask Zelensky how that worked out!
It’s still in process. It hasn’t “worked out”. I maintain that the process is being prolonged needlessly. But NATO doubling member countries in the East was a no-brainer. Russia would come back, as it has, and then it would have been able to invade its former satellites with impunity but for NATO membership. Ukraine is being tortured by the West for nefarious purposes. The torture consists of giving it enough weapons to continue to avoid being killed by a rabid bear, but the bear keeps coming because of high energy prices, which the west keeps exacerbating.
Antiaircraft missiles aren’t a threat to you unless you plan on bombing people where they are located.
