That's not what they're presently trying to do. This present effort is to make gun manufacturing so very risk that the manufacturers close up shop.
They are also attacking availability of ammunition.

While the first ten Amendments to the Constitution could possibly be changed as any other Amendment, they aren’t called the Bill of Rights without reason. If the Second Amendment could be stripped away so could the First Amendment and the others that define our Rights. As much as some hate the Second Amendment, the precedent of altering the Bill of Rights would undermine our basic rights. It’s not going to happen by the Constitutional Amendment process

Contrary to misguided beliefs, the amendments can be added to and strengthened but cannot be taken away from or weakened by any government agency or the people.
An inalienable right is a right that can’t be restrained or repealed by human laws.
Sometimes called natural rights which are to be understood as “God Given!”
There’s only one reason why they want to disarm us.
