I have become convinced from watching the 2020 Big Steal that the Senate must be constitutionally reformed. I think the six year term needs to be reduced to four, and political contributions must be limited to the geographical boundaries of the state or congressional district. Other countries have an upper house which is far less obstructionist and elitest without suffering political chaos. I am tired of senators who think they can do things contrary to the wishes of their constituents because everyone will forget by the next election.

(There is a certain bunch of FReepers who think that abolishing the 17th Amendment is a good idea, which will never happen. Repealing the 16th Amendment is far more popular, and quite a few men would like to repeal the 19th Amendment, but I digress...)
