I think MAGA is being lost over a series of poison-pill issues aimed at severing populist support by appealing to the activists for unpopular (and therefore NOT populist), causes.
The mask wars were disfavored by 59% in Texas, and by a higher percentage nationwide.
January 6 was never going to work as a coup, and it transformed a nation seething with anger toward Congress by making people feel sorry for them.
Then there was the abortion issue, where once again, you have a large and solid majority in favor of first trimester abortion, being ignored by a GOP proceeding lock-step against the will of their constituents.
There is an old adage of “three strikes and you’re out!” and I think that is what has been done to the MAGA movement to discredit it. The Uniparty globalists will surely benefit from this state of affairs.
The question is, can the MAGA movement move on from here, or do the populists have to try yet again, having had both the Tea Party and the MAGA movement co-opted?
Nope, it is becoming a Multiracial working class movement.
