I’m going to be a dissenting voice for this story. Not about the police response as a whole — it was inexcusable that the officers sat around for an hour+ while children were being murderered.
But for this particular officer — if his chief had forbidden him from going in, and the dispatcher said they were waiting for whatever reason, why shouldn’t he use the bathroom / use his phone / clean his hands / pick his nose? The tragedy is that they sat around waiting, not that while they were sitting around waiting some of the officers washed their hands or used their phones.
They’ll never be able to wash their hands enough to remove those childrens and teachers blood from their hands
