“Wealthy bootie-hound weighs in.”

Total B.S. and mischaracterizing a golf class act.

The Saudis offered Tiger $1 billion to join LIV, and he turned them down.

All the major players who joined LIV have mostly not been winning of late, and when you don’t win in the PGA you don’t earn as much. The PGA is all about competition.

Those who joined LIV are being paid millions by the Saudis, each time, just to show up for a LIV event, no matter how they score.

The Saduis paid Michelson $200 million just to join and they paid Dustin Johnson nearly as much, and both got more just for joining LIV than Tiger has earned in PGA earnings in his lifetime.

Michelson needs the milions to pay off his Vegas gambling debts.

LIV is 100% about (a) the money, the money, the money, not golf and (b) the Saudis trying to purchase global respectability.

Neither Tiger or the PGA can throw away billions on a bunch of currently losing golfers, but the Saudis can.

“Maybe it’s time for an anti-trust suit against the PGA.”

So you are just channeling Biden’s corrupt AG, Garland, who on the very day Biden departs for Saudi Arabia he opens just such an inquiry. So now you’re a Biden supporter???

“Don’t care much about the PGA but do enjoy watching monolithic entities scrambling to find a way to deal with new competition.”

LIV has zero today with “competition”.

The losers who have joined LIV got tens and in some cases hundreds of millions just to join LIV and get many millions just to show up for a LIV event, no matter their score.

In the PGA you have to compete, and the better you do the higher your PGA earnings. Comeptition at its best.

But the Saudis with their many billions could not buy players to just play for competition, they had to bribe them just for joining and pay them millions just to show up for each LIV event. Nothing really competitive about it.

That’s my take, who cares if they miss the cut, only have to work two days, instead of four. Why not?

“PGA took the money and ran! PGA is going to lose this battle.”

No they are not. They have won “antitrust” legal battle in the past on similar grounds and will win again.

The corrupt Biden DOJ under AG Garland announcing an antirtrust inquiry against the PGA on the day Biden leaves for Saudi Arabia is corrupt politicized “justice” at it’s worst, and your favor of it just makes you a Biden supportter.

“Nothing really competitive about it.”

That was the opening gambit to try to compete with the PGA monopoly.

Hopefully the new league will be successful and many opportunities will open up for younger and less experienced golfers.

And the 15-time major winner said he could not understand why the likes of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka had “turned their backs” on the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf’s series of 48-man, 54-hole events.

Cha-ching. What's not to understand?

You forgot "neener, neener, neener" and "...I know you are, but what am I?", "...I'm rubber, you're glue, what you say bounces off of me and sticks to you...". I could go on, but I know when to stop...do you?

“Hopefully the new league will be successful and many opportunities will open up for younger and less experienced golfers”

That is not the LIV $$$$ playbook, and you’d have to know nothing about the PGA today to not know they have been massively opening up the game to less experienced golfers with more PGA sanctioned events, such as the Korn Ferry tour that opens up the chances to getting cards for regular PGA tour events. That is in addition to huge processes of donations to amaturer events and the enrire amatuer and college golfing scene, as well as dozens of PGA donated organizations getting more and more kids involved with golf.

LIV is 100% about bribing names to get viewers to watch LIV events that are not even televized in the EU or the USA.

Little Dubia beat the Saudis in the game of golf and that greatly pissed of the Saudis. They built world class golf courses in Dubai, joined the European PGA circuit and now the Eurpean PGA circuit has a “race to Dubai” set of tournaments.

The Saudis were LIVid.

You miss my point.

That was how we mocked the woke golf commentators when they started salivating over another fresh plate of Tiger oysters, putting on their Woke bibs and getting ready to "tuck in" as Tiger showed us golfing neanderthals all about inclusion and diversity.

tigga tiega tooga tiga teega tiger tooga

That was well before we found out that Joslyn James was Tiger's personal sous chef... ;-)

I've heard there are no cuts in LIV.

I'll have to check on that.

The PGA is the type of classic monopoly they teach about in freshman Economics courses.

No it isn’t. Its no different than the different pro baseball leagues, that grew from one. The difference is in golf each player is one unit where in baseball each time is one unit.

Anyone could form a “competing” golf league and if it was formed to operate like the PGA, based on competition, not $zillions to players to just show up. that would be openly cometitive with the PGA. But such an idea is NOT what LIV is about, its 100% about the money, because buying what they cannot reproduce is all of what the Saudis know.

That would have been a "get".

I hope people don't misunderstand.

I personally like Tiger.

I just dislike the public tonguebaths that the Woke side of sportcasting and the cultural wars lavish on him.

Let your golf do the talking, Tiger - just like the rest of us.

An anti-trust case against the PGA would be fun to watch.

.Gov would win in a slam dunk—they would be broken up into a hundred pieces.

Good luck defending them!

Agreeing (maybe) with Biden about one thing makes me a "Biden supporter"? I wasn't even aware of the DOJ's interest in this issue, and don't know the details of their argument. That's why I said "maybe."
