Gunfire at 7-Eleven stores killed a clerk in Brea and a 24-year-old man in Santa Ana and injured three others in La Habra and Riverside early Monday, July 11, authorities said.
Police said the description of the robbery suspect in three of the shootings match. A Riverside police official said the fourth shooting, in that city, was very similar to others.

They hate 7-Elevens.
Or maybe they hate cans.
Stay away from the cans.

Sheesh, I worked late shift at a 7-11 in Santa Ana back in the late 80’s. It wasn’t all that safe back then, can’t imagine what it’s like now.

I heard the news report of this on KEIB in Los Angeles. After the report they cut to a commercial. The sponsor was 7 - 11. Bad timing.

Lived a half mile for 17 years from the Brea 7/11. One of my best buddies worked the counter there for a couple years in the 1980’s. I have many memories of buying those 10” long beef and bean burritos there at 2:00 AM after coming home from the local watering holes / Night Clubs.

Poor people are probably desperate and can’t get anything else. I'd figure this person's straits were just about as desperate as they could get.
