Takeaway... don’t relax near Ben Hooper
I wonder how Ben Hooper panicked the beach-goers.
(Another comment no one will understand once the Mods fix the headline :) )
Imagine that, wild animals acting like, well...wild animals.
Of course they were chasing the humans away! That’s what they do! And, I don’t blame them.
Ha dummies. I’ve been chased and bumped and attacked a few times by elephant seals. They like their fishing territory and like to be left alone.
the chase began when a woman attempted to take a photo of a sleeping sea lion at La Jolla Cove in San Diego.

The woman is sans clue about wild animals. The first clue is the word “lion” in the name. You’ve got your chicken on the sea and you’ve got your lion of the sea. Don’t mess with the lion of the sea.
Nights so dark a flashlight on the beach was a navigation guide back.
Tasty critters, lobster.

Sea lions need to have a hunting season on them. There are way too many of them, and THEY are the reason for smaller salmon runs, and less Orcas. They are pressure on the food on the ocean. I remember rarely seeing one in the 1960’s, now if you have a boat moored in CA, you may find that it is a Sea Lions habitat.
