We are literally putting the government in control of whether or not we can recharge our vehicles or not. All they need to do is flip a switch and all EV drivers are confined to their home area.

Of course there’s no reason private industry or individuals can’t have charging capability and apprarently they do (disclaimer: I own no EVs so this is just what came up in my quick search ... https://www.plugshare.com/)

I am pretty sure that the charger does some handshake with the car at the start of charging to query, for example, what the max amperage rate is.
It would be VERY easy to add a protocol to ask "what zip code are you registered to?". Or even "WHO are you registered to?"
