Does this mean that High Noon, Carl Foreman’s screed against the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), mean he thought the HUAC was too complacent? If so, then I agree.
That’s the problem with such commentaries. Maybe HUAC went over the top in some respects. I wasn’t there & haven’t studied it. But the fight against communists & communism in this country went nowhere, & now the enemy has seized the gates.
And exactly what are we supposed to do? March on Washington? I guess that time is coming...
