Posted on 07/09/2022 8:48:40 PM PDT by Kevin in California
Had a long day today and am exhausted and relaxing with a nice cold beer(s) watching some Rifleman espisodes. Man, this was the good ole days when TV was good. Now, it's garbage on TV.

As a kid my favorite was Wagon Train. As a dream, my wish was to be able to take a trip on one. The actors on the show were real troopers, did something like 32 hour long episodes in on season. Their guest star list went from Betty Davis,to Lou Costello. First guest star was Ernest Bortine. Hard to figure how Ward Bond never got a nomination as best actor in series.

If you really want to be entertained, watch old Groucho Marx shows on YouTube. Hilarious.

I like the old shows because they were done by talented people who could do good drama and comedy without going into the gutter.

YES! Grouch Marx....and George Burns, too.

These are free apps you can add to your phone and tablet and Roku box or other streaming devices. They have pretty much all the old shows for decades on them. FREE with ads.
I use a Roku 4 box and went to the Roku website to add the channel I want. It talks to your device and when you do an update on the Roku> Settings> System> Software update you will have the channels added to your home screen. You can move the tile in the order you want with the remote controls. You can find the popular easy enough but if not then use say google search and it will lead you back to the Roku site.

And that's not even counting the radio show!
On Perry Mason, how dis Hamilton Burger and Lt. Tragg keep their jobs after prosecuting so many innocent people? And how does Perry have time for mundane contract work and regular personal attorney stuff when he's F. Lee Bailey x 100 and Gerry Spence x 20 (minus the cowboy gear)?
