Nope, unfortunately not. It's beyond me how OG&E can have a monopoly on so much of the state, but they do. And they just jacked up everyone's rates -- AGAIN.
Can't help wishing there was a class-action lawsuit. We "little people" are getting screwed in a big way. Not even buying us dinner first!
Of course if OG&E generates power with coal or natural gas, they are victims of the same mindless policies of the Dem idealists at the national helm as you and I. It is easy to blame the local utility and ignore the imbecile you voted for last time. I understand that monopolies can be callous and insensitive.
I am not sure more competition in power generating utilities yields lower prices. Experience has shown that duplication just drives up the prices over 'shared costs.' Some new small nuclear reactors with little recycling and clean up technology might offer a new day... if AOC will allow that.
