A woman I know has gotten filthy rich counseling pot heads with panic attacks and other psychological issues.
As much as she hates pot, she’s grateful there are so many idjits out there.
Probably so, but if you look at modern THC levels of Cannabis...probably triple the ‘power’ that you would have experienced in 1972. If this kid at age 14 was getting the new edibles (could be 50 to 90 percent level)...two or three times a day...he probably was stoned around the clock.
Add in the alcohol ‘rage’ of the parents.
Around the US, you might have 100k young men who are capable of endangering the general public, and no desire to fix the problem.
It just happens to be the recreational of choice for MOST under 40's.
Look at the sixties;
We all wore the same uniform . . denim, and smoked the same dope.
We all had long hair and beads and girls named Jennifer and Sunshine.
We were all commonly united under the same political equation; U.S. involvement in Viet Nam.
And you could see us in America, Canada, England, France, Germany, India, Japan, Australia . . just about any industrialized nation.
Reefer didn't drive us mad, we just smoked the shit 'cuz we liked it.

Not enough mention of the constant brainwashing from TV, Movies and Video games. Solve your problems with violence is the message. Add in drugs (black market or prescription) and wonder why people go nuts.

Reminds me of another old movie “She Shoulda Said No”(Wild Weed) from 1949.
I saw it re-released in 1969 along with “Mom and Dad”, a film about VD.
I remember a case here about forty years ago in which a man we all knew was murdered because of a bad drug deal.
The murderer was soon arrested, a known reefer smoker. His trailer house was FILTHY beyond compare and full of roaches and rotten food.
His personal hygiene was non-existent. If he was high, he did not care.
