My wife, who was a 1st-2nd grade spec-ed teacher for 35 years looked at the picture of Mr. Crimo before she knew who she was looking at and said, “Foetal alcohol syndrome.” which occurs when mommy drank a lot through pregnancy and and results in a child with severe psych problems and usually some physical problems. “Elfin” face and small eyes is the standout feature.
A lot of similarity to the Uvalde shooter’s parents. Dysfunctional, selfish, drug and booze fueled irresponsibility with children ignored or placated with stuff to stay out of the way.
Both Uvalde and Highland events caused a powerful spotlight to shine on what miserable people the shooters sprang from.
I can’t help but wonder if punishing their parents was part of the motivation for their excretable acts.

And the father said there was no sign of mental illness in the son. All they had to do is look at themselves, to know there was definite mental illness in that family. Back in 2019, the kid declared that he was going to kill his whole family, yet the old man didn't see that as a sign of mental illness or trouble? The father and mother were too busy being crazy, and seeking vengeance and revenge on each other, to see that their kid was totally f*cked up. What a dysfunctional family.
