Texas Governor Greg Abbott orders National Guard to send migrants BACK to the border when they are apprehended and if they have crossed illegally

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday authorized state forces to apprehend and transport migrants to the U.S.-Mexico border, claiming the enforcement powers of federal agents and pushing the legal boundaries of the Republican's escalating efforts to curb the rising number of crossings.

'This is actually a response to the overwhelming number of people who are coming across the border,' Abbott, a Republican, told Fox News.

He also ramped up his criticism of President Joe Biden's handling of the border.

'It was only a year-and-a-half ago that we had the lowest border crossings in decades under President Trump. And now, under President Biden, we have the highest border crossings ever,' he said.

The federal government is responsible for enforcement of immigration laws, but for more than a year Texas has patrolled the border with an increasingly heavier hand.

Abbott stopped short of authorizing Texas troopers and National Guard members - who he has already deployed to the border by the thousands - to take migrants across the ports of entry and into Mexico.

That disappointed former Trump administration officials who for months have pressured Abbott to declare an 'invasion' and order state forces to forcibly take migrants out of the country.

But the action is still a significant and untested expansion of the normal powers of the National Guard and state police, who until now have turned migrants over to Border Patrol agents, and in some cases, made arrests on state trespassing charges. It raises questions over the training they have to detain and transport migrants and is likely to invite legal challenges.

Crossings are at or near the highest in about two decades. On the Texas border, U.S. authorities stopped migrants from crossing illegally 523,000 times between January and May, up from 417,000 over the same span a year ago.

Need to shut down all of the ports of entry and/or all reads leading into and out of them.

Any Fed that tries to interfere must be arrested by Texas. It has to start somewhere. Fedzilla needs to get it’s leash yanked.

Well if you want to send them I would send them all back to Texas all the one that Texas let into the rest of the country. The governor Abbott is a coward. There is no downside for him to get rid of these people who don’t belong here. By sending them to the border all he’s doing is putting them back in the government‘s hands. He is a coward. He’s no Sam Houston.

He needs to get his language correct.
He has no authority over migrants, per the constitution.
However, if they are asked for ID, and cannot produce any, well, that is another ball game

Hey gov. How about putting a bounty on illegals and let American citizens start making a decent living. Dead or alive.

The constitution granted specific powers to the fed.
Abortion was not one of those powers, and was rightfully overturned.
Immigration IS one of those powers, and the states have no authority over it.
If abiding by that pesky constitution thingie makes me a weasel, well, I will wear that badge proudly.

Immigration is a legeal process

These illegeal aliens are not immigrants ya weasel.

They are criminals.

Both fed and state law has authority to defend us and punish criminals.

It’s their job.

You’re a weasel.

Obviously, you did not read my entire original post.
I stated the problem, and offered a work around.
In other words, I offered up the solution.

I can tell that you are a “fair weather” friend of the constitution.
Perhaps my 3 sentence post was too much information for you to process.
Or, perhaps you are one of those people that do not believe in the constitution, unless it suits your needs.

Either way, low IQ people only serve to annoy me.
Good day

You started with one weasel knot

Then tied in another weasel knot

Then used a different weasel knot.

I untangled each knot.

Your rebuttals got longer
mine got shorter

You’ve been weasel wrangled

I never said weasels weren’t smart

Just basically dishonest

Your last weasel work not withstanding.

You lost, but weasels never give up the con , they just weasel away.

See ya.

If they were all showing up in the President’s home state then maybe he would sign an executive order to enforce the boarder laws. 100,000 immigrants in Delaware voting would change the structure of that whole state from local city council, to state offices. 200,000 to a half million and they would own the state of Delaware.
