It could have been because she was innocent. I understand that is a foreign concept to you. As you go about your business today, be careful that you are not knocked out by your halo hitting you on the head.
Then she should have produced her receipt and THEN blessed out everyone involved, gone to the press, made a stink on social media, etc.

If I'm innocent of an accusation, and could show that I was innocent by simply showing a piece of paper, then I would do so.
I would not go out of my way to have a long and belligerent encounter with a cop over it.
