As far as articulating a Reasonable Suspicion a crime was committed, he told her he needed to see a receipt and she refused saying “I don’t steal”.
I’m sorry but cops cannot and should not take people at their word like that.......she’s just too stupid and too angry to understand that concept.

NO, his duty was to then solicit an official criminal complaint from the store employee in writing or on recording, for the record. Then you produce the receipt and demand the store employee be arrested for making a False police report.
But they took Publix word for it and they were wrong/lied.
He took the store employee at his/her word. Why not the accused? The cop just showed up after the fact and tased the woman. Truth of the matter is you should never talk to a cop without an attorney present for except to give basic information like your name and address.
