More than once I put something on I knew nothing about, or surfed into something, saw James Caan was in it and thought “Hell, it can’t be that bad…’ (This is a compliment but some may have to think about it) Solid actor.
Thanks for sharing. He must have been a lovely, down to earth man. lI’ve never heard a bad word about him. Which is really something for a big movie star!

Update at this late hour: Thanks to everyone and your well wishes. I have passed along your messages (in private) and believe it or not, a family member read this thread lol and wishes everyone good health. Lots of “heavy hitters” arriving in the last 6 hours including 4 from the Godfather series. I wrote down “from FReerepublic” for one of my flowers and one douche knew the site and wanted it removed, so i threatened to rip his head off and flush it down the toilet if he even touches it. g night..

Wonderful reminiscence. RIP James Can. He will always always be Sonny Corleone, even though there were many other outstanding roles.
I was about 7 or so when El Dorado came out. At that time, I was (and still am) a big John Wayne fan, but Mississippi was “my character” in that movie. And I still love that hat!
I’ve been a James Caan fan ever since and he never let me down. He always made me feel it believe it.
I truly am sorry for your and his family’s loss.
