I know squirrels are destructive, rodent vermin, but I have come to admire them.

They are hardworking and persistent. Granted, they cannot cross roads safely, but I chalk that up to the Assistant Angel that God farmed out the programming of the road-crossing algorithm to.

That Angel had a history, and I think God gave him another chance. Well, I suppose it is best they can’t cross roads. Other predators don’t seem to want to have much to do with them, or if they do, don’t seem to catch them often.

If it weren’t for them getting squished on the road, they might well have taken over the world by now.

Thank God for Henry Ford!

LOL so true!

My daughter’s cat will sit and watch squirrel()s) for hours on end, will not go for them. Gopher is another story, the cat turns into the terminator.

“Granted, they cannot cross roads safely”

I think they’re just suicidal.
