Most likely, artificial insemination. Current mothers are hoping their children will inherit Musk’s genes and they (the mothers) will be provided for life by this particular father.

At least this African-American's kids know who their father is, and he has the means to support them, unlike most inner-city black kids today. The grandmothers of these kids aren't apparently raising his kids either,

Aren't white South Africans an endangered species? He's just helping to keep them from being totally extinct.
It makes me wonder about who will inherit his businesses. His kids are from a range of women, those more closely associated with him, those he may see less of, had more or less involvement in raising them. It could make for some complicated decisions on inheritance.
