I think Russia very unexpectedly ran into a buzz saw in Ukraine.
Ukraine cannot win, but a Russian win is proving to be very costly. In money as well as manpower and matériel.

It is also proving to be very costly to NATO and even more so to the US taxpayer.

Russia was forced into it and had no options. The ukies were three or four days away from a major invasion of Donbass, Putin simply beat them to the punch.

Costly? That’s certainly the Neocon spin. After all, they can’t deny that the UFA has suffered defeat after defeat. So, the “costly” narrative is deployed to convince the gullible Western public that sending more high tech weapons (which are being destroyed, sold on the black market, or captured in huge numbers) will eventually stop the Russians. Go investigate how the Russians are using combined arms and explain how their SMO has been “costly” in the sense the Neocons claim. Russian losses in the Donbass appear to be minimal because of their overwhelming superiority in high precision, long range artillery and missiles and how they are being used. They pulverize UFA positions using 10-11 times as much ordinance as the UFA while standing off out of range of UFA artillery. Then, when their drones reveal that the UFA position is essentially destroyed, they send in tanks and infantry to mop up. In Lisichansk, the UFA lines just broke and ran. It wasn’t cowardice; it was the rational act of good men who finally realized that they are being used as cannon fodder.

I am appalled at the number of posters here who casually treat this horror as if it’s a sporting event. The WEF and our Neocons, and their narcissistic fantasies about remaking the world according to their evil and absurd utopian ideas, are responsible for this war and the shedding of rivers of Ukrainian blood and destroying Ukraine. The young men who haven’t been fed into a meatgrinder WWI style war have fled to the West to avoid the draft. They are almost all lost to Ukraine. What will be left will be a very poor rump state with a largely elderly population. At least the “Big Guy” got his 10%, and the useless, cowardly, sociopathic Neocon/ WEFers got to play their real world version of “Call of Duty”. Of course, they will declare victory because the Russians “lost men and material at a massive rate.” It won’t be true, but the irresponsible here will repeat it.

Fortunately, Boris the Buffoon is leaving office, and the Dutch farmers are fighting the NWO. The Dutch are in a real fight for freedom, unlike the Zelensky regime and the Ukraine war.

It really makes you wonder how the supposed bright minds who run governments and militaries can make so many bad decisions.

The Russians were counting on an American type of shock and awe for the rapid win. That has not happened.

It is now a war of logistics and attrition.

It is interesting to observe how the war started with “Shock and awe”, then deteriorated to “Fire and maneuver” and is rapidly approaching “Static lines and entrenchment”..... all within a 90 day window.

These two cities are like Minneapolis and St. Paul if you look on the map. Four months into this Novo-Soviet invasion Ukraine has yielded but not broken. Russia is stealing gas and oil fields. Pure and simple. Where were they discovered in 2014? Crimea and Donbass. Yasno!
