Agreed with one caveat. We’ve advised all of our 4 kids to get a BS instead of a BA in college and so far all have done so (Economics, Business, Computer Science BS degrees and one TBD).
But my 2nd son (conservative) with his BS in Business also opted for a minor in Philosophy. He says so far that field of study hasn’t gone “woke” even at Cal State where he studied.
Not a criticism, just a comment. What happens when we tell our youth to get "practical" degrees so they can pay off their school loans, but steer them away from those "useless" liberal arts degrees that serve to pass on Western civilization?
Liberalized academia aside please, because that infiltrates every subject to some degree. How will the next generation learn about beauty if no one is trained in the arts, for instance?
