If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
You’re a nut.

Sorry, but The Bible is the ultimate Truth.
Acts 12:14-15
…14When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed that she forgot to open the gate, but ran inside and announced, “Peter is standing at the gate!” 15“You are out of your mind,” they told her. But when she kept insisting it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.”
She was telling the truth, but was told she was ‘out of her mind’.

i Cor 14:
22Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers, but for unbelievers. Prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers. 23So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?…
Unbelievers hear tongues and say that believers are ‘out of their minds.

Do you get it? You are calling people ‘nuts’. You have satisfied the Biblical criterion for recognizing true Christians.
I don’t think you get it.
Sorry. Stop your own calculations. Read the Bible. Listen to it as God speaking the Truth to you. Forget FR posters. You argument is between you and God.
Guess who will win that one.
A beautiful reminder. Thank you for the blessing.
It obviously hinges on that which is perfect...Well, “perfect” would be God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God’s perfect Word.
And “has come” after Jesus would be God’s perfect Word, and the second coming of Christ. So take your pick!
“You think that’s scripture? Cite chapter and verse please.”
Huh? That’s what the title of this thread is. Book of the Bible (1 Corinthians a letter or epistle of Paul), chapter (13), and verses (1-10, which is the whole chapter).
The post is nothing but the entire chapter of the Bible about love.
Important reminder.
But I was also morbidly curious as to whether even a post about the love chapter would lead to a heated theological debate. I guess I’ll have to check back later.
Look again.
The “source” is cited as some blog.
Pretty sure God doesn’t do blogs.
Putting scripture on a blog does NOT make the blog a source of it.
Does it?
The phrase “face to face” seems like it may be key.
Indeed!
Bible Gateway is not a blog. It is a repository of Bible texts. When you click the link it takes you directly to the text being cited. In this case, it is 1 Corinthians 13 in the New American Standard version. The one posting is definitely NOT blog pimping. The only error is perhaps in categorizing the post in chat rather than religion, but even that might be a matter of a preference.
