This year, lots of folks drove to the Glastonbury Festival by electric car. Because these cars don’t have much range, having driven there, you can’t get home unless you can recharge your car while you listen to Greta Thunderbird. So the organisers had to install electric vehicle charging points. Trouble is, how do you get the power to the middle of a festival site? Answer: you install DIESEL GENERATORS to run these electric vehicle charging points! And I bet the festival goers all drove home very smug in the knowledge they have “electric” cars!

The article above has already been edited in an attempt to reduce the emabarassment, but they still have to admit: “According to an AA worker, the diesel generator which powers the electric charging points is present on the farm all year round, and is switched on as and when it is required. This system is thought to be better for the environment than installing a Tesla Supercharger, for instance.”
