Are you shitting me? I don’t know if Ric Astley was on your Walkman, but as a teen that enjoyed getting his “horn scraped”, and music with a heavier edge to it, Motley Crue (and many other bands) took care of business, and I still enjoy listening to them today.

I never heard that expression over in Detroit, or Windsor, Ontario. I had 10cc, Joe Walsh, Diamond Dogs Album, and Leo Kottke on my Walkman.

True. They were different. MTV played their videos in constant rotation, but musically, they were basic. Sixx actually auditioned for Quiet Riot when Randy was still with them. Randy gave him the boot after having to tune his bass for him one too many times. Mick is the only one with true talent. I still listen to them to this day because they bring back great memories of my teens, but they definitely aren’t a “go to” for me.
