What do you mean? You can, but you’re inviting stupidity. When I say “you don’t”, it’s in context of it being stupid, not that people never actually do it. At my old company we had losers you couldn’t even leave alone around stuff like that because they’d knock it over and claim they fell off for workmans comp.
There’s 3 or 4 OSHA violations just in leaving the one pictured up. Unattended with public access, not tied off/secured at top, not blocked at bottom…
The LD 50 (50% death rate) height for falling from ladders is 8 feet. People ignore that at their physical and fiduciary peril.
I believe the ladder was FAR more likely set up/left up on purpose rather than a contractor just “accidentally left it there”.
