It's one thing to make up some lame excuse & blaming Trump for why you are doing something, but to flat out lie that you are even doing it is just bizarre.

The same thing with the recession. I would expect them to come up with some convoluted "blame Trump" reason for the recession, but to flat out deny & then change the meaning is a childish disgrace.
