Would also like to mention my ancestor, Jacob Seachrist born in 1760 and at seventeen years old, served with the Lancaster County militia at Brandywine and Germantown in 1777. Then became a private in the 7th company , 9th battalion, Lancaster County in 1783. He went on to become a farmer and had thirteen children.
You can be very proud of your ancestor.
What a wonderful heritage.
So thankful for those who came before us and who stood up to tyranny, fought to give us the freedoms we have enjoyed for generations.
Thank you for posting about your dear ancestor, Jacob Seachrist. An amazing and treasured heritage you have, as you know.
