That same thought has often crossed my mind. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I believe the vast majority of Hollywood women have used their bodies to advance their interests, I think a good many of them may have allowed themselves to be used repeatedly or passed around. Is abortion somewhere in that mix? And then later in life all that corrosive guilt and shame just take its toll and overwhelm.
Whenever I watch old/older movies and see beautiful women I do a search on their lives. I am still blown away how often these beautiful leading women had such tragic, heartbreaking lives that have all the earmarks of being really messed up.
The only thing different is that a lot of social stigmas have now been muted. Nevertheless, the internal damage is the same and the price must always somehow be paid.
