I would imagine they somehow included some ridiculous language in the warrant, language that a real judge would never allow, that ordered him to unlock the phone or get locked up for obstruction.
I used to work with the Fed’s back when I was a cop. In some ways, with regards to their various task forces, they were very reliant on the local cops because there were some things they weren’t allowed to do or it would take too long for them to get permission.
In other ways, I would see some of the things they did and think there’s no way I could get away with that or know that the superior court judges would laugh me out of the courtroom if I ever brought some of their charges.
Not to mention that they, once again, are denying Attorney-Client Privilege.
