They’re in California. What are they protesting?
As others have pointed out, the overturning of Roe has taken away the federal support for abortion and taken away a big roadblock to even considering pro-life legislation. Now, even though it is a remote possibility there, they are in a weaker position in the future if Conservatives in California ever try to get abortion curbed there.
