I can listen to that all the time. I grew up with it too. We had WIL in St. Louis.
I live near Conroe, Texas. They have a radio station that has an oldies show on weekend mornings. Great to listen to and reminds me of my dad. 1934-1990. He grew up in deep East Texas which is culturally a lot in common with northern LA/Miss/Alabama. Some people call it the Bible Belt/Redneck heaven.
