I have 3-4 songs that rotate in my #1 position...but “Wichita Lineman” always returns to #1 for its melancholy musicality and the lyrics that deeply touches my soul from my own life experiences.

Glen was a member of the Wrecking Crew who also played on his recording including the great Carol Kaye on bass.

Glen borrowed her 6-string bass to play the solo break.

Gotta say, probably my most favorite song of all time as well as him being my favorite artist. I think it's the song and the year it came out, 1968, which was the best year of my life as a teenager of 18.

Life was so good then, as was Glen's music.........

Some guitarists are great pickers and some are great fretmen; but Glen Campbell was both. I love his voice; but he was a masterful guitarist. The following tour de force, however, is just for show off:
