I’ve come to to conclusion that God many times dishes out punishment down here on Earth by letting people believe lies/stupid, and hence they “self-punish”.

Could it be a combination of the two? God gives the delusions, and then Satan jumps in when they’re vulnerable and sends demons to cause their bad actions?
