“Woke up this morning with soaked sheets from breaking a sweat.”
That happened to me too after nearly 2 weeks. Typical chronic fatigue was the indicator before that. I did drink a quart of Tonic water the evening before going to bed. Maybe it helped, who knows. There is some information suggesting not to take aspirin, Tylenol, or Ibuprofen before the fever breaks or it may become worse.

Letting a fever run its course is supposed to be very good for you and your ability to acquire good immunity from an illness.

Within reason, of course.

I never ran a fever that I could tell so I never took my temperature. I felt a little chilled a couple days and as I said, very achy and tired. I enjoyed the luxury of just taking it easy and sleeping whenever I wanted with a clear conscience.

Being a mom and wife, I have had to tough it out through far too many illnesses in the past.

I don’t like being sick in nice weather when I could be outdoors, but it is far easier with the warmer temperatures and increased humidity.
