I’m hoping that’s exactly what happens. Let the leftist states become the “green”, woke , baby murdering he— hole that they want, as the lefties move back to their insane states, while red states become more conservative, more orderly, more moral, more armed, more properous, peaceful and more polite. (And just downright happier!) Each type of person can move to the place that fits their mental state and their soul. May the great population transfers begin!
A big population transfer might actually, as you say, be the best prevention for a civil war, if we can just be left alone!
The problem is the leftists don’t want to leave us alone, they are control freaks. And while many issues could be dealt with via state’s rights, it won’t be as easy to do that when it comes to economic issues, especially now as we approach a tipping point where the whole system could unwind. The Federal Reserve has total control over the money supply and thus the economy itself to a great extent, and individual state policies won’t have any control over them.
