Maybe that’ll send some of those Californians packing.

Please.

Don’t you have to count backwards 9 months to ascertain “moment of conception”? To solve this problem, scientists are developing a nano-transmitter which automatically attaches itself to an egg before fertilization. Upon detection the transmitter will immediately transmit the coded message to the scientists via the cloud and also to the woman’s iphone. The coded message would read, upon decoding, “Yo Mama!”

Has anyone seen a discussion on whether a person or entity that funds travel/costs for a woman to get an abortion where it is legal, would/could be prosecuted??

I think. It would be very good for this country to concentrate leftists in some states and conservatives in others. We would all be much better off.

Paxton is a well meaning doofus. He declared a holiday, and went home to celebrate. The law doesn’t take effect until July 24th.

In Roe v. Wade the US Supreme Court declared that the Texas abortion law in effect at the time violated the US Constitution. Such a ruling does by the US Supreme Court does not repeal the law in question -- only the legislature may do that. So the old law remains in place, but it may not be enforced because it has been declared to violate the Constitution.

Now the US Supreme Court has ruled that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided, and there is no longer any bar to enforcing it. The Texas Legislature in the intervening decades never repealed the law declared unconstitutional in Roe v. Wade, it merely amended the state's abortion law, effective 30 days after Roe v. Wade was reversed by the US Supreme Court. So the old, pre-Roe law is the law in Texas, for the next 30 days.
