Point well taken. Accordingly, I'd adjust my Paleo defintion as a belief in low taxation, individual responsibility, state's right and traditional Christian values, with the differentiation being little interest in foreign interventionism. That made me think of another prominent form of conservatism in the late 90s:

Social Conservatism Gary Bauer, Alan Keyes were some of the prominent figures. Much overlap with Paleos, with the difference being the elevation of social issues such as gay marriage, abortion and prayer in schools to the forefront.
