My husband and I just attended a military funeral at the Beaufort National Cemetery. for our neighbor, MGYsgt George Hijar, retired. It was an incredibly poignant and inspiring cemetery with row after row of marble headstones. On the way home we said, why does the LGBQT community get an entire month of “PRIDE” and our fallen heroes, those who dedicated their lives to our freedoms, lost life and limb get only ONE DAY? What do we do to get this changed?

Thanks for the ideas. Let's make a list of things we can do:

1. Fly the flag

2. Celebrate our heritage with friends and family

3. Play patriotic music

4. Remember our fallen heroes

5. Add your own ideas . . .
