I like legal immigration for those who want to work hard and better themselves. How that makes me a leftist is beyond me, but whatever toots!

You see as I said I live in an area with few immigrants...Anyday you can go to Wal-Mart and see citizens with not even enough ambition to get out of their pajamas, yet enough energy to wip out the EBT card. 25 years ago after the mills left, you were considered fortunate to land a job at one of the few remaining mills. Now they have to put up a billboard advertising $23/hr and full benefits at one of these mills, and with a union to boot (which means you only have to actually work half the time)...no takers...then I have business people telling me they cant find anyone who will pass a drug test. A friend who has a roofing company saying he cant get any good workers. Post office here has signs up = $19/hr starting. Restraunsts with limited hours because they cant get no help. This in a low-immigrant, economically depressed area relative to most of the country...and your wondering why I think immigrants to our area may be a good thing?
