AFAIK, if suicide/overdose/foul play is suspected, there will be an autopsy. Unfortunately for the merely curious, autopsy results aren’t public information except in cases of homicide, i.e. if the deceased died by other than her own hand. Given that shame/blame game that typically accompanies suicides/drug overdoses, I’d be surprised if many families did not deliberately obfuscate the cause of death.
