The twitter “mob” could be a small handful of people. Rush always pointed out the SPLC at the time was “two guys in the basement with a fax machine.”
Companies cave WAY too quickly to a couple of vocal kooks.
Margins are tight and they fear things going viral. It’s easier for them to pull a product that won’t as much to the bottom line than continue selling these items. These items are niche and they don’t want to upset women who do most of the shopping
Last I knew Harris Teeter us owned by Kroger.
