It is intentional.
They will eventually meet GOD’s judgement for their evil, for as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be (Matt 24:37). We are definitely in those times.
Isaiah warn us as well.
Isaiah 5:20 - Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
