Knock his ass outta the will. He’ll change his mind and show up first thing every morning for a game of shuffleboard.
“Knock his ass outta the will.”
To make that probate work it would require a trust. Will’s can be easily changed or disregarded all together.
In order for a will to work (as it as it was explained to me) in some cases and states have differing probate law - the legal firm that drew up the will has to still be in business, your will still has to be on file with that office, and I believe the witnesses even to be alive.
As I said if somebody wishes to contested will and they are blood family it’s not that hard to kontest they will however...
A trust really is the most Ironclad way to have your estate distributed the way you wish it to be.
Got a real piece of work for a kid, or if you don’t have children and you have some relatives that you would rather not see your money go to... Not a problem. You don’t like your older sister and you have no children no problem? You don’t like anybody and want your estate to go to your local Volunteer Fire and Rescue? No problem. You want to give it to the Boy Scouts, a church, PBS? The trust is the preferred legal instrument to use.
That’s a bit harsh. His kid is 18, not 8, so at least he was reasonably informed about the consequences. And a kid is a kid, no matter what a jerk he is, and Elon has a few bucks here and there. Support the kid, Elon, whether he’s right or wrong.
Boy says he doesn’t want the $$$? He will.
